Consciousness is the state of being aware internally or externally. This article was very interesting and made me think a little more about the topic of consciousness. If I’m being honest I really haven’t ever stopped and thought about the topic a lot. Everyday we take in loads of  information in our everyday lives, but we aren’t the only ones who experience these conscious thoughts animals experience this too a little. In this article it shows the growth of consciousness, for a while it was thought of being a gift solely on humans. I believe that animals have a consciousness as well as humans no matter how small their brains may be. Some questions I have about consciousness is what causes it, or what triggers it more so in some situations? There is evidence out there that indicates that humans aren’t the only ones with this special process in the brain. You think about this and it brings you to think when you step on your dogs paw, you think that obviously hurt them and than you think do they love me of course they do. So that proves right there that animals do have some kind of consciousness in their brains. This article goes in depth of even the littlest of animals and insects like bugs you have to think about every living organism and how they feel. It makes me step back and think about how I live and how I want to change how I act around the world and things that I do to be more careful around other living organisms.
